An Inconvenient Truth is…well, true…

Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008 · No Comments

One of the best documentaries I have seen is An Inconvenient Truth. Al Gore discusses Global Warming and the effects of it. Have you seen A Day After Tomorrow? All the events that occur in the movie are not a far stretch at all. Everyone hears about abnormal weather events occurring like the Katrina Hurricane. Watch it, it will change the way you look at the environment and what the great USA does about it.

You can find out more information here about An Inconvenient Truth here: http://www.climatecrisis.net/

So the article discusses how the Wilkins ice shelf in Antartica is “hanging by a thread.” This section that’s ready to fall is about the size of Connecticut. The Larsen B ice shelf, about the size of Rhode Island, collapsed in 2002. This just shows the true effects of global warming.

I don’t know how all the global warming naysayers are going to explain this. Are they still going to deny that global warming is occurring? Are they going to say that Al Gore set this up?

It’s the saddest thing to hear that the US is the worst as a whole in dealing with global warming. It pisses me off all these old farts in the government are making decisions based on how much money they are receiving from lobbyists and the industry. It’s all about the benjamins to them. My question is, how’re you going to spend all that money if you’re caught in a freak tornado?

Here’s the Wilkins ice shelf article:
